A little bit about me...
I'm originally from Pittsburgh, PA, but I grew up in Cary, NC. I return to Cary a few times a year to visit my brother, sis-in-law, and my parents. I love Cary in the fall when all of the leaves are changing colors. Ahhhh.... so pretty.
I attended East Carolina University (Go Pirates!) with the intention of becoming a biochemist. I know.... really?? I'm a "Daddy's Girl" and wanted to follow in his footsteps (he's currently a retired research chemist). But my love for children, education, and not doing so well in my science classes (ha!) soon got the best of me. I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Child Development and Family Relations with a minor in Elementary Education. I've been teaching in CMS since 1994.
I have two sons. My older son, Ethan, is a Senior and attending North Carolina State University this fall studying Horticulture and Statistics. My other son, Connor, is a Junior at Olympic High School. Both of my boys attended Steele Creek Elementary K-5, and I'm so thankful for the quality of education they both received.
